When we were announced as a finalist for Best Developer for the Pocket Gamer 2020 Mobile Games Awards, we were shocked and humbled. ESG is the first Canadian studio to ever be nominated for this award and we couldn’t be more proud. We may not be the biggest studio, but with our passionate fans behind us we are pretty damn confident we can do anything, and for that we thank you! The upcoming awards are in their third year, and previous winners include Epic Games (2019), and Supercell (2018) – no big deal.
Other nominees over the last competitions include industry legends such as Jam City, King, Netmarble, and Rovio, and those in the running this year include DeNA, Niantic, and PlayRix.
Thank you to Pocket Gamer and the Mobile Games Awards for recognizing our impact on the mobile industry, our effect on the narrative idle genre, and our commitment to our amazing fans by honouring us with this nomination.
