Pot Farm Players Raise Funds for Vancouver Firefighter Charities

Trailer Park Boys Greasy Money - Live Event Gary Laser EyesHello Farmers!

The province of British Columbia is experiencing the worst wildfire season it has seen since 1958. Wildfires continue to devastate the province as new evacuation orders come into effect for communities in the Interior, keeping approximately 6,000 B.C. residents away from their homes.

On Friday, July 21, the Vancouver Firefighter Charitable Society held a boot drive, where firefighters were posted at various Downtown Vancouver SkyTrain Stations collecting money in an effort to reach their goal of $15,000 for the Canadian Red Cross ‘B.C. Fires Appeal’. East Side Games took note and decided to take action!

Huge thanks to the entire team at East Side Game Studio for creatively and generously collecting $4,350 for the Canadian Red Cross’ British Columbia Fires Appeal. As you can see, the team is not only a fun bunch but they regularly practice their fire drills too! ??

We called upon the help of our players to help fundraise money for the wildfire relief efforts. Our ‘farmers’ were informed that we would be releasing a new questpack, ‘Woodsy Wheeze’, on Wednesday, July 26, available for a limited time and the net proceeds would be donated to Vancouver Firefighter Charities. Together with their help and our own fundraising, we raised $4,350!

A huge shoutout and tremendous appreciation to our players. Their support means the world to us and we’re happy to have provided them with an opportunity to help our neighbouring communities in B.C. and those who have been impacted by these wildfires!

The fires are still burning around British Columbia. If you’d like to assist, you can donate on the VFCS Charitable Programs website.

Thank you all so much for your help!
