FROM POT TO ROMANCE
East Side Game Announces Ruby Skies for iOS

East Side Games, notorious for it’s successful social game Pot Farm, has just announced that its next game, Ruby Skies – a game of romance, exploration and treasures – will be coming soon to iOS.

Studio manager and co-founder Josh Nilson cracked at GDC “we figured that it was a natural progression for us to go from a game about farming pot to making a romance game.”

Ruby Skies hopes to engage with female gamers with an attractive blend of adventure, collecting and relationship building.

Featuring a charming cast of characters, Ruby Skies puts the player in charge of their romantic fates as they explore exotic worlds inspired by Ancient China, Pirates and Imperial Rome amongst others.

The producer of the game, award winning game writer Jacob Krarup, said “this game is heavily inspired by both romance novels and slash-fic. The players can choose to pair up the characters any way they like.”

East Side Games is an indie studio based in Vancouver, with an experienced team of social and mobile developers. They developed and continue to grow the hit social game Pot Farm, which has had over 5 million installs. On mobile they built Blaze Runner for both iOS and Android, NomNom Combo for iOS, and now Ruby Skies.
